Built in class: an AI voice agent.

2 programs · 4 tracks · 6 modules · 25 workbook chapters · lessons online · check-in calls with engineers on Zoom · Demo Day in person in San Francisco, free

Two programs. Four tracks. Start any time.

The course is the same for everyone: about 14 hours of video and 17 hours of hands-on labs. The videos are the lectures: you watch them at home on weekday evenings, whenever suits you, and do the guided lab under each one. Study evenings are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Friday is individual work: a study evening on your own. Thursday is always Demo Day. Never weekends, never federal holidays.

Pick a program, then a track.

AI Career Bootcamp is the six core modules: for people adding AI skills to grow in their job, or just exploring. AI Automation Agency Bootcamp is the core plus the agency lessons: for people who want their own clients or want to automate their own company. Each program comes in two tracks: the Intensive, a full week or more at full speed, and the Evening track around a job. Every track starts now: lessons open the minute you pay. You build at home, and Monday to Wednesday, 7–9pm PT, our engineers run check-in calls on Zoom, one topic a night, where you bring your questions. Your program decides which lessons you get. Your time decides how many weeks of calls.

Every track ends the same way. You start a capstone project on day 1: what you can automate for yourself, your company or your clients. You leave with an AI agency portfolio: tuned AI agents and web assets you can demo to clients or in interviews. What you choose is the track that fits your time and your goal. On every track, check-in calls with our engineers on Zoom, Monday to Wednesday evenings, answer your questions and keep you building. Demo Days are free, always, even after you graduate. Prices for each track are on the hub.

Only “a few minutes here and there”? Start with the self-paced course or the free lessons, and join a track when your weeks open up.

See the self-paced course →

Every track ends with a certificate you can add to your LinkedIn profile, with a link anyone can open to verify it.

Every track includes Demo Day, a live demo night every Thursday: in person at 1769 15th Street if you are in San Francisco, or on Zoom from anywhere. Free, always. After your weeks end, the lessons, recordings and chat stay yours, and membership keeps the check-in calls. You do not need every call: come to the one whose theme matches what you are building.

In a hurry? The Intensive.

Start now and go full-time: lessons and guided labs at home all day, every Monday to Wednesday check-in call in the evening, 7–9pm PT, and Demo Day on Thursday. Two weeks for the AI Career program (Intensive · Core), three weeks for the AI Automation Agency program, with your offer out by the end (Intensive · Agency).

Prices on the hub · Payment plans available.

Watch. Build. Show.

Watch.

Start with short video lessons and read the matching chapter of the AISA Bootcamp Workbook, which you get with your seat. The videos come from the instructors who work with each tool. All six modules are open to you.

Build.

Under the video is a hands-on task. You do it on your own laptop, on your own example, at whatever hour you have. A short quiz confirms the idea landed. Then you submit what you built for automatic feedback: what is solid, what is missing, and what to try next. It is guidance. It is not a grade and it never blocks you from the next lesson.

Show.

Bring the work to a check-in call on Zoom, Monday to Wednesday, 7 to 9pm PT, where an engineer answers your questions and builds with you. Show what you built at Demo Day on Thursday, in person at the school in San Francisco or on Zoom from anywhere. Stuck between calls? Bring what broke to the next one.

What a lesson looks like

Chapter 1, The HAS Audit, as a student sees it on the hub: the video, the timecodes and the task underneath
Chapter 1 on the hub: the video, timecodes, the task, a short quiz, then Check my work.
Lesson 1 · a prompt you paste
I want to learn the HAS Audit (Human Agency Scale Audit), a way to choose which tasks in my week to hand to AI and which to keep human. First, ask me in one message what my business or job is and which 3 tasks take most of my week. Wait for my answer. Then explain these ideas in plain language, using only my 3 tasks as examples:
1. The Human Agency Scale, from H1 (Full Automation) to H5 (Human Essential). Make clear it measures how much I WANT a person involved, not what AI CAN do.
2. The four zones from crossing my desire with AI capability: Green Light, R&D Opportunity, Red Light, Low Priority.
3. Why the task gets chosen before the tool.
End with 3 short questions that check whether I understood. Do not answer them for me.

Every lesson has prompts like this one. You paste them into Claude or ChatGPT, do the task on your own example, then submit the result to Check my work for feedback in minutes.

  1. Watch A short video, cut from the live lectures.
  2. Read The matching chapter of the AISA Bootcamp Workbook.
  3. Follow The prompts and the task on your own laptop.
  4. Check my work Submit it and get feedback. Guidance, not a grade.

Six modules, and what you build in each.

Both programs share the same six core modules; the Agency tracks add the agency lessons: client audit, offer, pricing and outreach. Pick a module to see its workbook chapters, what you build, and a clip from the lecture.

Module 1 of 6

Foundations

  • HAS Audit
  • LLMs
  • Prompting I
  • Prompting II
  • Context Engineering

You start with the HAS Audit: one real week of your own tasks, scored for what you want AI to take and what AI can do today. That gives you a ranked list of what to automate first. Then you learn how the models work and how to brief them.

You build: your own HAS Audit and task list, a set of prompts for your first task, and a system prompt that makes a model do that task the same way every time.

Prompt attention strategy · a short cut from the prompting lecture, from the AISA YouTube channel.

Each subject is taught by someone who works in it.

Lex Mustafin, founder of AI START academy. Foundations, Claude Code, deployment, content and the agency launch module. Lex taught himself to code, built and sold a startup that went through the 500 accelerator, founded the software company Custom Product Builder, and mentors founders at 500 Global and Draper University. He runs the Monday check-in call.

Sergei Zdorenko, founder of AIOS Cortex, an AI automation agency in San Francisco. Claude Code and agents; he runs the Tuesday check-in call.

Bogdan Red, CTO at CQR Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity and OpenClaw.

Kheir Lazaref. n8n and voice agents: Vapi, ElevenLabs, Twilio. He runs the Wednesday check-in call.

The lessons are online. The people are not an afterthought.

Check-in calls with engineers, Monday to Wednesday, 7–9pm PT, on Zoom. Monday is the agency call with Lex, Tuesday the Claude Code call with Sergei, Wednesday the workflow call with Kheir. Bring your own project and your questions; an engineer helps you get it working. You build alongside people one week in and people five weeks in.

Demo Day, every Thursday at 7pm PT, in person. Everyone comes to show their build. It is the AI Automation Agency Meetup, at the school: 1769 15th Street, in the Mission, about five minutes from 16th St BART, and on Zoom. It is free for every student and graduate, always.

You should not have to wait two months to start.

Most programs start a few times a year. If the date clashes with a trip, a deadline or a shift, you wait for the next one and the plan goes cold.

The AI Bootcamps remove the wait. Start now: your week 1 is this week, you join the cohort running this month, and all six modules are available from day one. Work through the lessons and guided labs when it suits you, then bring your project to a check-in call.

Check-in calls Monday to Wednesday evenings keep engineers close to your work, and Demo Day on Thursday keeps the people close: a live demo night in person at 1769 15th Street, or on Zoom from anywhere, free for every student and graduate.

An honest read before you pay.

It fits if you:

  • have a job or a business and one task you would hand to a machine tomorrow
  • want to build AI systems for other businesses and need the full stack, in order
  • are a beginner. You do not need a coding background. If you can write a clear email, you can follow the lessons
  • learn by doing and want your work checked, not just a video watched

It is not for you if you:

  • want a specific technical career path such as cloud security, machine-learning engineering, or training and fine-tuning models. This program teaches you to deploy AI automations for a business. It is not that course
  • want someone to build the system for you. You build it; we show you how and check your work
  • want videos only, with no group and no live calls. The self-paced course on the hub is the better fit: https://hub.aistartacademy.com/self-paced
  • want a promise of a job, clients or income at the end. We don't make one
  • cannot name one thing you would automate. Request a call and one of our advisors will help you with your next step.

The questions people ask us on the phone.

"My schedule is the problem."

There is no class schedule to fit around. Start now and do the online lessons at the hour you have: early, late, or on a lunch break. The check-in calls are Monday to Wednesday evenings on Zoom, and Demo Day is Thursday, in person in San Francisco or on Zoom from anywhere; come when your week allows.

"I'm away for a week. I'd miss the middle and have to restart."

The lessons travel with you, and the live calls are recorded. All six modules stay available, so take the week you need and return to the next check-in call when you are ready.

"I'm not technical. Is this for me?"

Yes. No coding background is needed and week 1 assumes you are starting from zero. You will use a terminal and Claude Code in week 2, and the lessons walk you through it. What you need is a laptop and one real task you want gone.

"I thought it would be more technical."

It may not be for you, and we would rather say so now. This is about deploying working AI systems for a business: agents, automations, voice, evals, security. It does not teach machine-learning theory or how to train a model.

"How do I know this is real?"

Look before you pay. Our YouTube channel has real footage of sessions at the school: https://www.youtube.com/@aistartacademy. The free lessons and the Modern AI Thesaurus are on the hub, and if you still have questions, request a call.

"I won't pay attention on a screen."

Then don't rely on the screen alone. On the check-in calls an engineer works through your project with you, and every Thursday you show your work in the room at Demo Day, 1769 15th Street. The online lessons are short videos followed by work you do and submit.

"Is the price per class or for the whole thing?"

For the whole thing. The price depends on the support you pick: how many weeks our engineers are on call for you in check-in calls. The lessons, the guided labs and the workbook are the same for everyone, and they stay open after. Demo Days are free. It is not per class. Prices for each track are on the hub.

"Why not just learn it on YouTube?"

You can. The information is free. What is usually missing is structure: an order to learn things in, a task at the end of every lesson that gets checked, a group that expects to see your work on Thursday, and someone to ask when it breaks. If you have been watching videos for months and nothing is running yet, that is the gap this fills.

Two programs. Four tracks. One price per track.

AI Career · AI Automation Agency

It is one price per track, not per class. The six core modules are the same in both programs and stay open after; the Agency tracks add the agency lessons. Your track sets how many weeks you spread them over and how many check-in calls with our engineers you get: Intensive · Core (2 weeks) and Intensive · Agency (3 weeks), both Monday to Friday, or Evening · Core (4 weeks) and Evening · Agency (6 weeks). Prices for each track are on the hub.

What your seat includes:

  • all six modules, available from day one
  • the AISA Bootcamp Workbook, with every lesson following a chapter
  • a guided lab, a quiz and automatic feedback on your work in every lesson
  • a Stuck? debugging brief at the end of every lab
  • the bootcamp chat
  • check-in calls with engineers on Zoom, Monday to Wednesday evenings, for the weeks of your track
  • Demo Day every Thursday, in person in San Francisco or on Zoom from anywhere, free, always
  • a certificate for your LinkedIn profile, with a verification link

Start now: lessons open the minute you pay.

The AI Bootcamps: questions and answers

  • The AI Bootcamps are two programs from AI START academy. The AI Career Bootcamp is the six core modules: Foundations, Build and ship, Agents and automation, Voice, private AI and security, Quality and memory, and Content and agency launch. The AI Automation Agency Bootcamp is the same core plus the agency lessons. Each comes as an Intensive or an Evening track. Start now: your week 1 is this week, and all six modules are open to you.
  • Now. Buy a seat and the lessons open the same minute; your week 1 is this week. All six modules are available from day one, and the next check-in call is never more than a few days away.
  • It depends on the track you pick. AI Career: Intensive · Core (2 weeks) or Evening · Core (4 weeks). AI Automation Agency: Intensive · Agency (3 weeks) or Evening · Agency (6 weeks). All six modules are open to you from day one, and the lessons stay yours after.
  • Yes. The Intensive covers the six core modules in two weeks (three with the agency lessons), for people who can clear full weeks, Monday to Friday, from morning to late night: lessons and guided labs in the day, check-in calls with engineers 7–9pm PT, and Demo Day every Thursday.
  • Each lesson is a video, then a hands-on task, then a quiz. You submit your work and receive automatic feedback on it. Every lesson follows a chapter of the AISA Bootcamp Workbook.
  • Yes. Every student gets the AISA Bootcamp Workbook, and every lesson follows a chapter of it. Read along, follow the steps, and keep it as a reference after the program.
  • Every lab ends with a Stuck? brief for the usual problems. Ask in the bootcamp chat, and bring what still breaks to the next check-in call: Monday to Wednesday, 7–9pm PT, on Zoom.
  • No. The feedback is guidance on what is solid and what to improve. It is not a grade and it never blocks you from moving to the next lesson.
  • Check-in calls with our engineers run on Zoom, Monday to Wednesday, 7–9pm PT, and every call is recorded. Demo Day is a live demo night every Thursday at 7pm PT: in person at 1769 15th Street if you are in San Francisco, or on Zoom from anywhere, free for every student and graduate.

  • Lex Mustafin, founder of AI START academy, teaches foundations, Claude Code, deployment, content and agency launch. Sergei Zdorenko, founder of the AI automation agency AIOS Cortex, teaches Claude Code and agents. Bogdan Red, CTO at CQR Cybersecurity, teaches cybersecurity and OpenClaw. Kheir Lazaref teaches n8n and voice agents.
  • For the whole program. The price depends on the track you pick: how many weeks of check-in calls with our engineers, and whether the agency lessons are included. The lessons, labs and workbook stay open after. Demo Days are free. Prices for each track are on the hub.
  • Every lesson ends in a hands-on task that you submit for feedback, the modules come in a set order, and you can build with instructors every week. The information is free online; the structure and the people are what you pay for.
  • A bootcamp track adds check-in calls with our engineers on Zoom for the weeks you pick, Demo Day every Thursday, and the cohort you go through it with. The self-paced course is the videos and labs on your own, with no group.
  • It is not for people who want a technical career track such as cloud security or machine-learning engineering, or who want to learn to train models. AI START academy does not place people in jobs and does not promise clients or income.

  • Every call is recorded and students get the recordings. Keep working through the lessons and come to the next check-in call or Demo Day.
